Helen Wickes

Helen WickesHelen Wickes BSc, Dip FD NAFD – Funeral Director. Helen graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2005 with a degree in Biological Sciences.

She began her post as Funeral Director in January 2010, step daughter to Mr Blyth, she is proud to be bringing the firm back to its family roots. In 2013 Helen gained her diploma in Funeral Directing.

Guy Stratton

Guy StrattonGuy Stratton Dip FD NAFD – Guy was born and raised in Salthouse on the North Norfolk Coast, educated at Kelling County Primary and Sheringham High School. On leaving school he was employed as a trainee mechanic in Sheringham.

In 1988 Guy joined Blyth & Sons and gained the diploma in Funeral Directing in 1991, the same year he was offered the opportunity to manage S T Suttons in Wells and in 1996, Canler & Son in Fakenham.

Blyths building firm was founded in 1895, the current owner, Mr Tony Blyth is the third generation of his family to run the business. The funeral division was formed in the 1940s.

In 1983 Blyth & Sons acquired Lloyd Durham’s of Holt, incorporating Canler & Sons of Fakenham and S T Suttons of Wells. This completes the small group that trades today.

It remains the objective to provide the residents of north Norfolk with a professional, efficient, sympathetic and personal service.

Our business is run in a personal manner. The funeral director will spend time discussing different options and decisions to be made. We are always on the end of the phone and on the day of the service, your funeral director will be there to guide you.
