Funeral Costs
We are an independent company that has been owned and run by the Blyth family for 130 years.
We provide a high professional standard of service in all of our funerals and are proud to be a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) to whose standards we adhere.

We are a family-owned funeral home and have a long history of serving the local community. We offer a compassionate and supportive service and we will help you through the decision making process at a very difficult time when people can feel particularly vulnerable.
Our pricing policy is honest and transparent. We will help you make informed choices in a safe, friendly and caring environment.
All funeral directors are required by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) to publish a Standardised Price List (SPL). Unfortunately it can still be difficult to directly compare SPLs between different companies as some are quoting only basic costs. In considering our SPL we advise you to consider the level of service that we would be offering and whether it meets your needs.
Funeral fees are divided into two parts: those for the funeral director and those for third parties who provide other services, known as disbursement fees. Disbursement fees include for example the crematorium, church, florist, civil celebrant, and newspaper announcements. We have no control over these disbursement costs.
The funerals that we offer are as follows (full price lists are at the bottom of the page):
Traditional Funeral (also known as an Attended Funeral)
In our traditional funeral the service and arrangements are tailored to your personal preferences. This is our most popular funeral. Our Mercedes hearse will carry your loved one to your local church or Crematorium.
A funeral is a very personal event. Although there are many traditions you may wish to follow there is also room for personal touches if you choose, for example using a horse and carriage. We will help you every step of the way. Further information can be found on our ‘Arranging a Funeral’ page.
Simple Funeral
A simple funeral offers a less expensive alternative to a traditional funeral. This option may be suitable when, for example, a non-family executor is arranging the funeral and wishes to pass the essential funeral requirements over to us. It may also be suitable where a family wishes to opt for a very simple service. The date and time of the funeral is chosen for you, and the hearse will meet you at the funeral venue.
Direct Cremation (also known as an Unattended Funeral)
In a direct cremation there is no service and family and friends do not attend.
Crematorium Fees
We at North Norfolk Funeral Services pride ourselves on delivering a highly professional and personal service at a fair cost.
